Now that it's December... time to put up Thanksgiving pictures :)
Trevor's class had a Thanksgiving feast the day before break. John and I went to help and partake. Evidently the feast consists of a lot of macaroni and cheese and fruit salad. Oh, and capri suns. Pilgrims totally loved capri suns.
We headed off to visit Dan, Marie and the girls for the week. On the way we stopped and In-n-Out. It was Nora's first time getting to eat there, so definitely picture worthy.
Uncle Dan killed a chicken and a turkey the first full day we were there. He's taken to shooting them first now, so Ryan kept referring to the dinners as "the chicken that Uncle Dan shot". The kids are all walking around with croquet mallets--they were pretending they were axes and wandering around the yard looking for 'things to ax'.
Nora's first turkey!
One of many tea parties. Ryan had been looking foward to tea parties at his cousins' house.
We drove out to the Blue Bell ice cream factory. They have a tour and then you get a very generous scoop of one of their 32 flavors available (because having only 31 would be silly). Ryan found the tour to be a bit cruel--you get to watch the ice cream and talk about the ice cream but not eat the ice cream. When they got their scoops and started eating at the counter, Ry was lapping it up very enthusiastically. The tour guide found him to be pretty cute and then several minutes later she came out with bonus ice cream scoops for all the children. Ryan was suitably excited.
The kids and their first scoops.
Nora really likes spoons now. John kept trying to take the spoon to put a little ice cream on it, but she was more offended he was trying to take her exciting toy.
Auntie Marie and Trevor were ice cream twins, both having play-doh, I mean birthday cake ice cream.

She got to enjoy all the kids taking turns pushing
Nora has a very entertaining brother
John climbed a tree... the kids are holding out their arms to assure him they will catch him if he jumps down.
Trev and Happy Horse.
Ryan officially turned 4 while he was there. You'll be happy to know that he is now "almost 5!"
They made a Ryan lego man!
Wrapping paper!
Trevor and Gracie both came down with something so we took the healthy kids out on a park, lunch, grocery outing. They were a bit ridiculously cute.
And now for a brief HEB ad...
Awww...
Kaya and Ryan decided to dress up as tooth fairies. You could hear them banging on Gracies door--Gracie! We here to get your tooth!
Nora looking tough with her traditional Thanksgiving morning muffin.
The pardoned turkeys out for a walk Thanksgiving morning.
A video of the turkey watching:
Johnny and Dan still outside
The kids drawing designs on their jammie shirts so they can have coordinating cousin jammies later that night
Thanksgiving dinner
Really?
Before dinner Gracie made a point to go and change into a pretty dress. Then after dinner she puts on her rubber boots to go play outside. Very cute.
John is like a moth to outdoor fires
Cousins in their cousin jammies
And this about sums it up
