T-Ball Season in Full Swing (get it?)

Trevor gets to play t-ball this year. It's apparently a serious deal out here--his team has a manager, two coaches, and a team mom to keep everything in order. Trev's team is the Oriel's (initially he explained it's because they all like those kind of cookies). Here's a clip from Trev's first game--they have the kids try to hit from a pitching machine first and Trev got a hit every time he was at bat!

Trev's turn as catcher. When he walked out to his spot, he tried to be as close to the fence (far away from the batter) as he could get. The coach reassured him that the balls aren't going to hurt. And that it's good to get his turn over with before it gets hotter out.

Ryan was pretty interested in the helmet--they dubbed it a knight helmet.

Nora might not be that into baseball.

Welcome Nora!

Nora Marie Carter was born on Monday, March 5th, 8:30am. She weighed in at 8lb, 6.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long. I was much relieved to finally have her on the outside instead of all scrunched inside!





The boys came over to visit after school. Ryan was pretty excited--he wanted to hold her with John and did his little jitter/smiling/tongue-wagging happy dance.







Trevor was a bit more cautious and didn't want to hold her yet. He went through looking at all her itty bitty features--fingers, feet, toes and all that, but was happy to let me hold her while he checked her out.

We stayed in the hospital two nights before heading home. Trevor is probably the most smitten with his baby sister.

What John's been up to...

With the bigger yard comes room for a big ol' swing set. John spent a good two weekends plus a little extra putting the entire thing together. It's pretty cool.

It was delivered by a very put out delivery man who was not happy to see a pregnant lady open the door... luckily John was there to help unload several hundreds of pounds or so of swing set. I would not be excited to find this many pieces of anything. Fortunately John kind of was and got straight to work separating it all.
























And of course the boys thought the boxes it came in were pretty awesome.

Christmas Trip (2011)

A little late on the upload, but here's some pictures from our trip to Alaska over Christmas.

There was quite a bit of snow while we were there so we got the whole Winter Wonderland experiance. I was impressed by the boys ability to tough it out in the cold (even though Trevor was a bit stunned to feel his nose cold too). The second week was more of a challenge with the temperatures dropping to something unbearable.
