Construction Zone

We have lots of progress on our office nook/ hall bath area project! While my dad was visiting he went ahead and knocked down a bunch of walls, tore out our old (pink tile) sink, and framed in the new and improved walls.
Trevor thought the whole process was super exciting. When he first saw Grandpa trying to rip out the trim he said "Uh-oh!", but then when it was off he started clapping and saying "more!". Luckily, he learned quick to only hammer the walls that I approved for hammering--no bonus Trevor holes made after Grandpa was so inspiring.

Most of the framing happened when John and I were in Vegas for the weekend. Trevor had his first overnight without the parents experience and evidently was a joy to watch. They let him run around with huge hammers and help knock down more walls... and I guess he also was a big fan of the sawza. My mom said that when they returned home after being out of the house, Trevor would run to the construction and say 'more'--so he worked hard at keeping his Grandpa on task.




















John and I had a good trip to Vegas. We even stayed up until midnight one night... pretty extreme... We saw Mystere, John played some poker, I shopped, and we came out a whole five bucks or so ahead on the slots. The most noticeable freedom was going out to eat and not having to make sure we can get in and out in such a hurry.

We were welcomed back with a happy greeting form Trevor, which was followed by him turning to my dad to wave and say "bye bye Grandpa".
