Eating with tools

After many weeks of carrying cups and forks around the house for fun (seriously one of his favorite toys lately), pretending to feed mommy, pretending to feed Mr. Octopus-friend, he was able to use them to feed himself applesauce. It actually took two attempts. The first time he just played with the stuff and was not interested in putting any of it in his mouth. It seemed like the same thing was happening the second go around, but after a few minutes he decided it was worth attempting and went with it. It was surprisingly less messy than I thought--nothing on the floor, no flicking it around to walls. Maybe that's later...

Good job little T! I love your little farm animal bib! (Josh has the same one).

J-Man does pretty good with the spoon, but doesn't eat as much as I would like, so I generally feed him the first 2/3 of something, and then let him 'feed' himself the rest...I did learn not to give him oatmeal to eat by himself unless it is time for a tubby...that stuff always manages to make its way into his hair and really get stuck.

Psst...Trevor...why don't you talk your mom and dad into bringing you out to Colorado for a visit!
