Camping Trip

We ventured camping a couple weekends ago--up a little past Kennedy Meadows. Some friends joined us for the first part so it was pretty fun having them share the campsite.

Mixed message of "no horseplaying on the rocks" while I'm taking a picture cause they're so dang cute.

Trev roasted his own hot dog this time

John pouring himself a can of margarita

Ryan discovered mat horsie again

Marshmallows!

My favorite part--when John makes breakfast

Ryan showing his dinosaur pancake

I decided I wanted to be in a picture too

The boys went off exploring while we packed up the tent

Snack break near beginning of hike

Trev thought it'd be cool to wear the Ryan pack

Ryan did not think this was so cool

John took us off trail a bit to have a bit more adventure. The while flowers were everywhere--this was the wildflower jungle part

Lots of trees to climb over

Happy Camper

Second snack break

As usual the hike was about ten minutes too long for Trev--so John was diverting him on the way back by guessing that we'd arrive at our site when they counted to one hundred. It was pretty funny to listen to as he had to stretch it at the end... "what comes after 86? Did we say that one already? Oh, we just said it again... etc"

Wyoming Trip Part Duex

Wyoming take two. Another big trip was up to the mountains nearby to see the snow. I guess there's significantly less up there than maybe a week prior when they took the girls up. But there was still plenty to play around in.

John and Trev are both in there--they climbed up a bit higher than the rest

Two little snow cowboys

Trev and Kaya in a snow cave

Someone (Marie or Jackie)had the good idea of bringing up different colored water bottles to decorate the snow.

Snow Graffiti

Trev and his dog Tucker who lives in Texas

Snow baseball

If there's a stick lying around, Ryan will find it

Getting close to lunch time... contributing to one flop of a family picture

We went to Barber lake on the way back for lunch and some fishing.

I was very excited to find the bug spray--we were eaten like crazy all week

Kaya and Ryan getting some worms

Cute little fisher people

And this is fishing without anything on the other end...

Trevor was very excited to catch his first fish

Uncle Dan having him touch it

Ryan making a fishy face at the fish he caught

Ryan and Kaya--they were having a discussion about the dangers of fire ants

Here's some playing around the house pictures...

Bapa Bill was highly requested reader

Bapa Bill showing Trev how to practice cast

Playing soccer with Auntie Marie cause Uncle Dan doesn't acknowledge the sport

Wrestling

Ryan and Kaya

And much to my excitement Kim was able to come up from Fort Collins to spend a day.

Me and Kim!

Marie and I were "running errands" at the coffee shop and stopped to take a picture with the nearby sign on the entrance to a hair salon/spa. We felt it captured our afternoon.

We went back to Veedawou with the Williams and Grammy Jackie. Trevor is thoroughly in love with the area and suggested that we get a house that is right next to Veedawou so we wouldn't have to drive there.

Dan and the girls

Kaya the little mountain goat

Lunch at John's favorite table

Ryan and Auntie Marie looking at a squirrel

Self portrait with Gracie--turns out we are both princesses
